Lone Pine Lope

We finally got lucky with the weather and had beautiful spring sunshine for most of the day. Nearly 40 people went out on today's courses, including  a few folks who gave orienteering a try after coming across our event in the park.

We had a great group of volunteers today. Will Dickinson directed the event, put out the flags, made the awards, and helped collect controls. Jesse Nelson and John Bissen helped with registration, beginner instruction, and control pick-up. Liam Browne and Euell Browne also helped pick up controls. Thanks for everyone's help!

In addition to our volunteers, we'd like to thank our event sponsors Colter Coffee and Insty-Prints, and our main club sponsor, Alpine Physical Therapy. And thanks to the park ranger team at Lone Pine for continuing to let us use this beautiful venue!

Results are below. You can see the split times here.

You can also see some of the competitors' routes, and add your own routes, here.

A number of photos and course maps from the event are here. If you have cool photos from today's event, please add them here.

Up next is the third and final event of GrizO's northern swing at Big Arm (a brand-new venue for orienteering!) on May 1st. We hope to see you there!
