Silver Park

We had 34 people brave the near-100F heat at GrizO's Tuesday night event at Silver Park, a brand-new venue for orienteering. The Advanced course was won by Patrick Nuss, a visitor from Seattle's Cascade Orienteering Club, while GrizO member Greg Friedman swept the Beginner course and the so-called Runner's Course, designed for those interested in getting some extra mileage in. The Advanced course featured a tight battle for second place, with Allie Ferguson narrowly edging Gina Nuss, Laurel Ottey, and Svein Newman.

Results and split times are available here, while a few photos from yesterday and the course maps can be found here.

Thank you to our sponsor Alpine Physical Therapy for continued support of the GrizO Summer Series! Thanks also to our awesome volunteers: Tom Facey, Alison Reintjes, Allie Ferguson, Taylor Coon, Dorothy DeHart, Randy Tanner, Kat Franchino, Helena Franchino, Svein Newman, Eric Jones, Loy Koch, and Miranda Marks.

Up next is GrizO's event at Lubrecht Experimental Forest on Saturday, July 17. Hopefully we will avoid freezing rain this time!
