Lone Pine State Park - Choose Your Own Adventure

On a beautiful fall day in the Flathead Valley about 35 competitors completed the first Lonepine State Park Score Orienteering event. In this format, participants try to find as many checkpoints as they want in any order within a specified time limit. This was the first GrizO event designed and directed by Harvey Goldstein.

The 60 minute competition was won by Alan and Asher Stanfield with 850 points and no deductions. The 120 minute competition was won by Kathy Dodd with 950 points. Special thanks to Loy Koch who saved the day with her mobile Hotspot. Thanks to Joan Goldstein and David Goldstein who helped put out controls and to Loy and daughters Miranda and Jamie, and to David Goldstein for picking up controls.

In addition to our volunteers, we'd like to thank our event sponsors Blackfoot Communications and the Loose Caboose, and our main club sponsor, Alpine Physical Therapy
