The cold rain that was in the forecast for today never materialized, and we got ourselves a gorgeous fall day for running around a set of courses designed by Ben Conley at Blue Mountain. Most courses consisted of multiple loops, with a map exchange at the finish. ​

The Advanced course proved very competitive, with superstar skier Henry Reich taking the win ahead of Calvin Olson and our new Scottish arrival Iain Whiteside. First-timer Charles Mantini was fastest on the Beginner course, while Missoula Youth Orienteering Program participant Elon Merrill took the win on Advanced Beginner. 

We had a great crew of helpers today. Henry Reich, Hannah Specht, and Marit Specht helped with setup. Ben Conley, Zariah Zosel, Kathleen Dent, and Allison Brown helped with beginner instruction. Loy Koch, Calvin Olson, Chris Chitty, and Ben Conley picked up controls.
