Our spring season is in full spring, and we get a good turnout at Soft Rock, perhaps the coolest orienteering venue we have. Carrie Johnson served as event director, with the Johnson family helping out with setup, snacks, takedown, and just about everything else.

Calvin Olson designed a set of challenging courses - no one came back saying it was too easy! Nancy Shrader helped with setup and organization as well, while Caroline Chitty, Calvin, and Boris helped with beginner instruction.

In addition to the regular courses, Calvin also designed a training exercise on a modified version of the map that had the rock features and trails removed. He walked a large group through this exercise, which received very positive feedback.
