Summer weekends are typically taken up by various adventures away from Missoula, so we like the idea of hosting low-key summer weeknight events between June and August. This was the first such event of 2025, held on a very hot Missoula evening at Milltown State Park.​

We were happy to welcome a number of first-timers, as well as a solid group of our beloved regulars. On the Beginner course, Charles Burruss was fastest, just edging out newcomers Barba and Lydia West, as well as up-and-comer Inara Granovskiy and first-timer Melissa Hewitt.

​

The other courses were run as a mass start, to give runners a bit of extra motivation to push themselves in the evening heat. The Johnson Family dominated the Short and Medium Advanced courses: Noah was fastest on Short, just ahead of his sister Selah and brother Philip. Oldest brother Titus was fastest on the Medium course. The Long course was won by Calvin Olson in a close battle with Chris Caldwell, and Forrest Boughner in a close 3rd.
