Mother's Day at Lubrecht

We were thrilled and honored that so many of you chose to spend your Mother's Day with Grizzly Orienteering in the lovely woods of Lubrecht Forest this weekend. All the moms in attendance received a chocolate covered strawberry at the finish.

The forecasted rain never materialized, and we were treated to a fine day and challenging courses in Lubrecht's notoriously tricky terrain. GrizO Youth Coach Calvin Olson showed everyone how it's done by winning the Long Advanced course, while our youth team members Finn Nowels and Espen Chitty took 1st and 2nd on the Intermediate course. Lincoln and Kitt Haddenham, who attended their first event at Lion Mountain a couple of weeks ago, were fastest on the Beginner course.
